Researchers: How to apply for a stay
Attachment to UPC staff- CG 17/2016
CG 17/2016 regulation determines the stay of non UPC members at the university facilities, becoming related staff once their documentation has been processed.
This application must be submitted 1 month prior to the beginning of the stay. Applications that have been started or completed will not be processed.
Staff linked to the UPC are: teaching and research staff who belong to entities other than the UPC (universities, institutions, research centers or companies) - whether public or private Spanish or foreign- who are linked to the UPC to carry out academic tasks, being integrated into the UPC database of the academic unit of reference.
It must be a PDI from the UPC who initiates the linkage of a person, this figure will be the Professor of reference who can contact us at usdi.camins@upc.edu to work in collaboration for the linkage.

UTG Camins USDI, International Relations and the Electronic Administration Office.

What documentation is required? To whom?
- Invitation letter from UPC signed by the inviting professor.
It is necessary to indicate the start and end date of the link, the activities to be carried out and the facilities, services and equipment to be used.
How long does the HR Service take to respond to my application?
Approximately 1 month.
Where can I accommodate my guest?
The academic unit of reference must have a space worthy of the guest. It will be the referring professor who will propose a work place and/or request it from the USDI.
Please NOTE: The professor of reference should examine in detail the CG 17/2016 regulation and its articles.
Attachment to CIMNE staff
CIMNE staff may request an attachment to the Department or Institute of their choice.
This procedure is subject to the provisions of Agreement CS/2020/01/19, of April 7, 2020, of the Social Council, which approves the regulations governing the linked research entities (EVR) of the UPC that you can find here.
You can send your request -attaching the application form, letter of approval of the DECA director duly filled in and document of accreditation of coverage of accidents and illnesses- to usdi.camins@upc.edu.
USDI will process the necessary signatures with the DECA Management and UPC Legal Services.
Please note that the admission and linking process takes a maximum of 30 days.
